Hello. I have rescued a 4 year old male boxer who is very skinny (ribs are showing). He has been checked out by our vet, & is up to date on shots. Our vet has run many tests to make sure nothing is wrong with him & why he isn’t fattening up. Everything came back OK. Our vet said he just needs to get fed on a routine basis & should fatten up. He was mistreated before, etc. This was a month ago & I do not see a difference. We are feeding him Wellness because that is what we feed our pug & she is as plump as can be. So are there anything out there I can give him to make him healthy & gain some weight?? Maybe a food that is great for dogs to gain weight, a vitamin?? Thanks in advance.

Use as much fresh foods as possible. In addition, Wysong’s Optimal Performance and Archetype Burgers https://www.homevet.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=54 and Ziwi Peak https://www.homevet.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=93 are high in calories and vitamins and are great for weight gain.
