My dog has a lump that looks like a big pimple on the inside of his ear flap. It now the size of a pea, red, and hard to the touch. Just the lump is red, with the rest of the ear normal. The growth doesnt seem to cause him pain; i can still rub his ear from the outside, but he gets fidgety when i try to touch it.
We brought him to the vet and they diagnosed it as a tumor. They biopsied it and it came back benign. They gave us gentocin otic to apply to the ear, but i read some bad side effects using this drug. Is there an alternative?
I noticed it after we watched a friend’s dog for a couple of days. They tend to play a little rough; plenty of wrestling, and nibbling on each others neck and face areas.
Could a scratch from a paw, or a toothbite cause this?
