Hi Dr. Jeff,
I have a brief question for you and was hoping I could get your insight. I am a very concerned dog parent right now. I have a 2 1/2 yr old female schnauzer mix. I’ve had her for 7 months now, she was somewhat of a rescue dog. Well, I got her spayed last week. Texas law requires a rabies vaccination, so I agreed to a rabies vaccine only. I didn’t want her to have any other vaccines. I have had her on an all raw diet(along with my 6 yr old cat whom I’ve had on an all raw diet for 5 yrs now). I approach my family’s health as holistically and naturally as possible, including my pets. Well, when I paid for her services I found out that they administered a Distemper/Parvo vaccine, Lyme Vaccine, and oral bordetella. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying there was a miscommunication, although I dropped her off for her surgery communicating that I only wanted the legally required vaccine, rabies. I am frustrated that my pup has those vaccines and chemicals in her body but they’re in her body, nothing I can do about it. My question is, what would you recommend doing for her to help her immune system now that she has the vaccines in her system? She has no health issues aside from hip dysplasia, it bothers her from time to time and I am giving her supplements for it. If you could help me with this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!October 2, 2014 at 1:10 pm #8496

Great question! Thanks so much for asking. This is an issue that my new clients ask almost every day.
The very best way to deal with this scenario is by directly manipulating the internal energetic imbalance caused by surgery + drugs+ vaccination.
In my clinical experience, homeopathic treatment is the best way to do this. Ideally along with optimal holistic management of fresh food feeding, exercise (outside is best) and mental/emotional stimulation, e.g training, agility, etc.
I’d also consider using a few detox supplements such as a great probiotic (I love Rx Biotic from Rx Vitamins), Pet-Detox and zeolite (a natural detoxifier).
Good luck! I’m sure that she’ll be OK. If you want to consult further, feel free to start here.
