I posted previously about how my dog was chewing his paws raw. He was taken to the vet and diagnosed with a flea bite allergy. I wasn’t able to take him myself, and the person that did, went with the dr’s recommendation. The dr. prescribed a treatment of anitbiotics and prednisone, as well as frontline to rid of the fleas.

She knew that i would rather attempt to rid of the fleas with a natural remedy, as well as research any meds, but they convinced her this was the way to go. I would like to know if the meds they prescribed are safe. If meds are questionable, could i stop them and use a more natural remedy. I already know your feelings on frontline, but i would like your opinion on the meds. I must admit though, he is not chewing on his paws or scratching as much, and his skin isn’t crawling or as sensitive as it was before treatment.

Thank you for any reply, and to having this forum.
