I just adopted a 6 or 7 yr old basset hound, when I brought him home he was playful and ate real good. Yesterday he ate in the morning and would not eat in the evening, he slept most of the evening. this morning he would not eat anything, I tryed to give him a piece of cheese and he took some of that, his nose is very warm and dry. He is also sneezing. I have an appointment with my vet on thursday, that is the soonest I could get him in.I would like to know if I need to take him to an emergency clinic, or please advise what you may think this may be.
