Cat drinking enough?

Link to this post 16 May 07

Our female cat (aged 6) does not seem to drink much! We purchased a fountain for her and she did enjoy it but now only uses it infrequently. She urinates only once a day. Currently, she is on Hill's W/D diet (we add water both to her moist and dry food) and underwent surgery a few months ago for struvite crystals. Our vet does not seem concerned but we are!! She is otherwise quite happy and eats well. Thanks so much for any suggestions!

Healthy cats don't need to drink much (if at all). They get their water from the food.
