Our beloved Golden Retriever, Rufus, started having nose bleeds in May 2008.  Following an MRI we received a diagnosis of an aggressive nasal tumor.

The oncologist told us that without radiation, Rufus would probably only live another 2-3 months.  We were devastated, but decided against the radiation due the fact that Rufus would have to be anesthetized 5 days a week for 3 weeks and he might have long term problems as a side effect of the radiation.  We wanted him to have a good quality of life.

Dr. Jeff had been Rufus’s primary veterinarian all along and he advised us that with homeopathy, supplements and excellent nutrition, Rufus might have a high quality of life and possibly live for another year or more.

Rufus lived for another 17 months!!  For most of the duration he was happy and seemed healthy.  He even went into a remission for several months during which time he was positively energetic.

There was one instance about 6 months into his treatment that we weren’t sure he was going to make it.  Rufus was bleeding heavily and having ticking seizures. I was on the phone with Dr. Jeff several times that day during which time he had me administer a few different homeopathic remedies.  We found the right one and within 5 minutes Rufus’s seizures stopped completely.  By the next day the nose bleeds had stopped.  Then Rufus had several months of remission.

At one point I called the oncologist and said, “Guess what?  Our dog is still alive after 10 months and is doing great!”

We are grateful to Dr. Jeff for helping Rufus through his cancer and giving him extra time to enjoy life with his pack.

Sincerely,
Linda Durakis and the family
