Have you decided to rescue a cat on death row? The following is a list of rescues that might be able to assist. Remember, time is of the essence. They begin killing at 6am, the morning after these lists are posted. Placing applications with more than one group increases the chances of someone being able to see and respond quickly-- this improves your chances of being approved. When at all possible, please try to fill out applications and get approved to adopt or foster BEFORE the animal is on "the list" and it is at the 11th hour!
*CLICK links under an individual rescue name. This will bring you to their website. You can then find contact info, which at least includes an email, if not a phone. A LOT OF RESCUES HAVE APPLICATIONS RIGHT ON THEIR SITE.
*When writing them, be sure to indicate the animal id number, name and shelter location in the SUBJECT line. You must include all contact info for yourself, including email and phone. Explain to them that the animal is on the ACC euthanasia list for the next morning and that you would like to foster/adopt.

YOU WILL NEED A RESCUE FOR A FOSTER- AND DO NOT NECESSARILY NEED A RESCUE TO ADOPT IF YOU CAN GO IN-PERSON, BUT WE ADVISE YOU HAVE ONE IN CASE YOU CANNOT GET TO THE CAT IN TIME. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN FOSTER TIL ADOPTION- AND YOU KNOW YOUR RENTAL/LANDLORD AND FAMILY STATUS- ALL THE DETAILS- SO THAT WE ARE NOT TRYING TO GET A CAT FOR YOU WHEN YOU CANNOT HAVE IT OR IT WILL PUT YOU IN JEOPARDY IN ANY WAY. PLEASE CHECK WITH ALL HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS, LANDLORDS, ECT. BEFORE REQUESTING A PULL. DO NOT ASK A RESCUE TO PULL A CAT AND THEN BAIL AFTER.
